Tech Tip The May2000 deep UV uses the Hamamatsu S10420 which is an un-cooled back thinned CCD sensor with excellent UV response. The grating and window are chosen for enabling sensitivity <200nm. If you must use optical fibers, choose the shortest length possible as fibers attenuate the deep UV. Free beam coupling (we offer screw on lenses for spectrometers) and using the system in an oxygen free environment are required to see as low as 155nm.
