Flame VIS-NIR Fiber Optic Spectrometer 350-1000nm by Ocean Insight




The Ocean Insight (aka Ocean Optics) Flame fiber optic Vis-NIR spectrometer covers 350-nm and comes with a 25 um slit.

User changeable slits in other sizes are available. SpectrEcology also offers a Flame fiber optic UV-Vis spectrometer that covers 200-850nm.

Tech Tip   The Sony and Toshiba detectors are very similar, and either will work well.  The Toshiba has a slightly larger well depth with gives it a higher signal to noise (350:1) than the Sony (300:1) but is consequently less sensitive.  The Sony is faster, allowing integration times down to 1 msec. The Toshiba minimum integration time is 3.8 msec. The Sony has less image lag (residual signal from a frame that persists in the next frame) which is important for measuring transient events.
